The best thing about a Volatizer vaporizer is that it is the only vaporizer that is pocket-size, battery operated and rechargeable. Volatizer vaporizer is multipurpose in nature as it can be used in aromatherapy, medicinal herbs, essential oils or other herbal substances.

Following are the identifying components of a Volatizer Vaporizer.

  1. Custom Lockable Case
  2. Extra-ceramic vaporization chambers
  3. Cleaning Kit

Using the Volatizer Vaporizer

The Volatizer Vaporizer has to be charged before it can be put to use. Plug the charger into a standard 120 AC outlet and insert the plug into the socket present at the back of the Volatizer Vaporizer. A red light will be displayed on the screen when the unit is being charged. Another red indicator under the display screen will be lit to indicate that the charger is connected and the charging is in process. When the battery is fully charged then a green light will be displayed on the screen. It is recommended that the charger should be kept plugged in over night to ensure a fully charged battery.
The usage of the unit determines how long will the battery last. If the unit is set at higher temperature and used frequently then obviously the vaporizer would be required to recharge sooner. When the battery is low, the res light under the display screen begins to wink and the unit also makes a beep sound. The whole unit will completely turn off when the battery is fully discharged. The turning off of the whole unit will erase the previous temperature settings and new temperature is required to be set, when used the next time.

Instructions

Before the instructions are stated, it is very important to note that the Volatizer 3 Vaporizer cannot be turned on unless the mouthpiece is extended and the covering over the vaporization chamber should be completely closed. This small but significant instruction should be followed very strictly. Slide the vaporization compartment cover upwards to load the Volatizer Chamber. After this insert the ceramic chamber into the vaporizer. Generally there are extra ceramic chambers provided with the vaporizer with mesh screens. The screen is basically to prevent the herbal substance from touching the heating elements or interfering with the other parts of the vaporization chambers. Using mesh lids is totally a user’s choice, many people avoid using the mesh screen because of inconvenience. If you do want to use the mesh screen then do not shake or turn the vaporizer upside down as it will make the herb or its debris fall out or spread in the upper screen.

  1. Load the Volatizer Vaporizer with a very small amount of plant material or herbal substance in the ceramic vaporization chamber. You don’t have to finely grind the herbal substance only reduce it to the size of a herbal pellet. If you want to use an essential oil then put only a small drop of oil on the vaporization chamber.
  2. Insert the chamber which is loaded with the constituent herb into the Volatizer 3 Vaporizer and make sure that the vaporization compartment cover completely closes the chamber.
  3. Turn on the unit by pressing the Off/On button. Words and numbers will be displayed on the screen as soon as you switch on the unit. The first number that appears is the nominal or the actual temperature in degree Celsius in the vaporization chamber. Set the temperature that you want by pressing the temperature increase (left) or decrease (right) buttons which are located below the screen. Just press once to to go up or down one degree, or hold down for faster adjustment of the temperature setting. When the temperature is adjusted, ’set’ will appear on the screen along with a blue back-light. After it is turned on, the last temperature that is displayed after you have released the temperature increase or decrease button will be the preset temperature till the time you adjust it again.
  4. Next turn on the heat button by pressing it, a red light will glow. This shows the heating element is on. The vaporization process only develops when you turn on the heating element.
  5. As and when the vaporization chamber reaches the preset temperature, the heating element and the red indicator light turns off automatically. Start inhaling the vapor through the mouthpiece slowly and deeply for about 5-10 seconds. Hold the vapors inside your mouth and then slowly exhale them. The heat button should be kept pressed during inhalation in order to maintain the temperature that you set inside the vaporization chamber. You should also take note of one thing that when you draw cool air from the vaporization chamber, then the sensors installed inside the heating element will maintain the temperature that was set earlier. The user can see this process take place as when you start inhaling then the red light which earlier was shut off, will now be turned on. If you feel that the outside air is much cooler then set the temperature 10° or 20° higher than the outside temperature in order to compensate for the loss of heat.
  6. The temperature that is optimal to vaporize the herb or some other botanical substance is 180°C-200°C. Adequate vaporization also depends on the moisture content present in the herbs. The quality of the herbs also influence the vapors formed thereafter. Potency and essences available in the herbal material are some of the other factors that can modify the quality of the vapors formed. Exceeding the temperature of 230°C can lead to burning of the plant material as in vaporization nominal provides maximum experience. However, the user can conduct experiments with the amount and temperature settings corresponding to your preferences. Variety in temperature settings will also yield optimal vapors. Always remember that herbs are very likely to get incinerated above the temperature of 235°C.
  7. After using the unit, let it cool for sometime. Do not to attempt to take out the ceramic chamber immediately after using it since it can get extremely hot during the vaporization process. The heating temperature can reach up to 280°C and cause injury to skin if touched. The amount of time that you have to wait for the vaporizer to cool off is dependent on the temperature that you had set earlier. After the unit is warm to touch and has cooled off, only then remove it and blow out the residue that is left inside the chamber. If the constituent remains attached then scrape it off with the help of a brush or tweezers. In case you have used an essential oil then replace the cotton insert. It is recommended that you leave the Volatizer vaporizer to cool off after every use.
  8. The required ‘buzz’ from inhaling vapors is also dependent on the number of inhalations that you take. This in turn is dependent on the number of essences and flavors that are present in a herb. Sometime, one can reach the required point within 2 draws and other times it may require multiple inhalations. The same can be said about temperature settings. The more variations you make in temperature settings, the more ranges you would have to choose from. It is all about finding your comfort level. Different herbs and oils have different vaporization temperatures, depending upon their chemical composition. Some oils such as camphor and mint vaporize at temperatures as low as 30°-60°C. However, in many other herbs, there will be ingredients which get vaporized only within the temperature range of 100°-150°C. Common medicinal herbs generally vaporize within the thermal range of 180°-210°C.
  9. In order to intensify your vaporizing experience, you can try increasing the temperature but the vapors formed thus will depend on the type of ingredients that would be present in the herb.
