A: The batteries used in the Magic Flight are AA rechargeable NiMh batteries (2000mAh or higher). Alkaline or any other battery will not operate properly with the Magic Flight Vaporizer. Only use NiMh rechargeable batteries!

I also don't like that for it to work, you have to hold the battery in place. The battery can heat up very fast and it is not a good thing. | "The magic flight vape has its good qualities and its bad. Good: Lightweight, compact, quick heating, and enough batteries for several uses on an outing, wind proof, and 100% nontoxic with a fresh earthy flavor from the wood. Not to mention the great price Bad: A bit tricky to get the heat just right. I have found that the batteries start cold then warm up through the vaporization process so there is a chance of burning towards the end. However, practice makes perfect and I love this little guy now!" |

| "I miss my old wooden pipes now that I'm vaping. This comes pretty close, in appearance anyway. Really, it's just an electric device that doesn't heat up too much although it can get warm. | "This thing is awesome. I am totally satisfied. My complaints are minor but i will list them anyway in the interest of full disclosure. They are battery life, lack of temperature control and the fact that the battery and draw area can get a little bit too hot when using it for a while. As far as the battery life goes it really is not much of a problem in my humble opinion due to the fact that when I bought it they included two extra batteries free (on top of the two batteries you normally get). However i can see how other would have complained about it had they bought it at a time when they did not give you the free bonus batteries. Regardless the batteries they provide are rechargeable and come with the charger to recharge them. Recharging takes about four hours when they are completely dead and the charger holds up to two batteries together. So with that being said the only real valid complaints about this are the lack of temperature control and that it can get a bit too hot with heavy use. However when addressing the temperature control issue you have to remember how greatly priced it is. What it lacks is very minor and something that only heavy smokers will gripe about. You cannot expect it too have too much when it is so cheap, remember you get what you pay for. Bottom line it is a super great value for the price and gets the job done. The box itself has a lifetime warranty with the manufacturer as well. So, In short it is totally worth it." |

But with lots of practice, you can consider me a pro :P, I'm really digging this thing now. The trick is to gently sip the vapors out and shake it up after every hit. If you're not careful, you can burn the herbs. I find it's a little hard to rotate the herbs to get the unvaped stuff at the bottom so it can be heated properly. Shaking and tapping and rotating doesn't seem to do a great job of this. Vaping makes me cough a lot - I wasn't expecting that." |

| Quick Instructions: | Step 1: Charge the AA NiMH battery. Step 2: Slide the acrylic top open and fill the trench with well dry ground material. Don’t pack it down. Step 3: Push the battery inside the hole to start the heating process. The indicator light will illuminate when the connection is made. Step 4: After five seconds, begin to slowly draw from the Magic Flight for 10 to 15 seconds and then remove the battery. Don’t forget to remove the battery. If you push the battery for too long, it will force the herbs to the point of combustion. Step 5: Stir the trench or lightly tap the unit between draws. Step 6: Repeat as needed! Note: Always try to use a fresh battery. The batteries used in the Magic Flight are AA rechargeable NiMh batteries (2000mAh or higher). Beware - Alkaline or any other battery type will not operate properly with this unit! Only use NiMh rechargeable batteries. Also, brush out the trench after use to keep the Magic Flight performing efficiently. |
