I purchased this vaporizer after comparing it to others for some time. Having experience with previous vapes, but not a pen, I wanted one that would be a little more portable and inconspicuous. I decided on this one because of its expandability options (you can change it into different sizes for various uses, e.g., vaping with friends you might use the long tube extension and larger battery, but when traveling or using it alone, you might make it smaller for discretion with the shorter tube and battery). The TVape 2 came with both batteries charged, but not fully. The smaller battery quickly died. Charging the batteries takes some time. I would have liked then ability to charge them via a USB connector, as it is a little limiting to only be able to charge the batteries through an outlet. When using the device with the smaller chamber, the herbs can taste a little harsh and makes me cough. However, the longer tube leaves the herbs tasty and smooth. I have noticed the herbs are blackened when I am emptying the chamber, which makes me concerned that the herbs are combusting. While holding the on/off button down for 20 sec. is supposed to increase the temperature, the device doesn't give any feedback so it is difficult to determine at what temp. it has been set, or even if it has changed. The pen stays pretty cool in your hands and it feels solidly built. I like the rubberized nipple that stays securely fastened to the chamber (I can even lift the devise by the nipple and it doesn't fall apart). It does seem to take a while to heat up, but once the light turns green, it remains on for sufficient time to share and the affects are quite amazing! I would like to have additional batteries and a charger, but can't see where these are sold. Square's website has a replacement battery that they ask $70.00 for, but this appears to also include the on/off mechanism rather than just a battery... On one full charge I was able to share my vape with several friends over the course of an evening and didn't have to recharge it (this was on the larger 2200mah battery), but having a few backup's would be nice. Loading the chamber is not that difficult as the chamber is about the circumferance of my two pinched together fingers :-) And the chambers hold enough herbs for the desired affect, and then some. The packing tool does need to be used to pack the herbs into the chamber. It is very easy to clean and very portable. It is very attractive (I got the blue one because the black was sold out) and feels nice and solid to the touch. I'm loving it so far and several friends I shared it with want one of their very own. I detracted a point for value because I would like the ability to accessorize it by purchasing additional batteries and a charger, but these are apparently not inexpensively available. I deducted a point for performance because when it is used as a personal, shorter, pen the herbs are pretty harsh, and the herbs may be combusting. In addition, there is no feedback to determine temperature. But neither of these shortcomings make me regret having the pen. I'm loving it!
