The Source Orb 4 Signature Kit did for me what products are supposed to do. It made life a little easier, a little more fun, and it gave me more control over how I vape wax concentrates.
I’m a dabber. We’re a different breed. Wax pens are great, but if you’ve ever tried the lung-inflating hits of a dab-rig and lived to tell about it, it’s hard to go back to lighter density vapor.
The Source Orb 4 wax vaporizer was designed specifically for people like me who want bigger, milkier, and tastier hits from their concentrate, crumble, and other forms of waxy oils. You can refer to our spotlight on the Source Orb 4 for an in-depth look, but here I want to briefly pinpoint 3 reasons why I love my Source Orb 4 Signature Kit.
The Temperature Range
The Source Orb 4 features a 2200 mAh mod battery with an impressive range of temperatures (you don’t get this battery in the Source Orb 4 Premium Kit). I can vape wax at normal vaporization temperatures somewhere between 300F and 400F. Or I can crank it up to a flaming 700F. Good luck finding another portable vape for wax that reaches such temperatures.
You seriously harness the power of a dab-rig in your pocket with the Source Orb 4. More compact than an eNail, and easier to control than a dab-rig, the Source Orb is one of the most convenient ways to dab that I’ve experienced. It’s basically a mod for wax concentrates.
The Source Orb 4 Signature comes with 8 atomizers. No, that wasn’t a typo. Each atomizer offers a new way to vape wax. Here’s the menu of atomizers to choose from:
Quartz Single Rod - Makes smaller, flavor-rich dabs (if you don’t go hard but still enjoy flavor).
Quartz Double Rod - Expect huge, flavorful clouds. Emphasis on huge and flavorful.
White Ceramic Double Rod - Pretty similar to the quartz double rod atomizer.
Black Ceramic Double Rod - For low-temperature dabbing, which means smoother hits. The black ceramic absorbs oils and heats them slow and low for smooth, flavorful dabs. These rods are two times larger than the white ceramic rods.
Quartz Coil-less - For low temp hits with an easy-to-clean design. Quartz delivers super smooth and tasty vapor.
Ceramic Coil-less - An easy-to-clean atomizer, like the Quartz Coil-less, with a clean taste.
Source Nail Titanium Coil-less - Made of high-grade titanium. Delivers clean-tasting hits. This atomizer actually features a removable bucket for easy cleaning. (Wax gets annoyingly messy).
Source Nail Ceramic Coil-less - Fairly similar to the titanium coil-less atomizer but I find its hits to be slightly more flavorful and smoother.
There’s a scene in the 1995 Robert Rodriguez film Desperado in which Antonio Banderas reveals a whole arsenal of weapons stashed in his guitar case. That’s the Source Orb 4 signature kit in a nutshell. I’m ready for anything--well, at least I’m prepared to dab in pretty much any manner I want on-the-fly. The hard metal case that carries the Source Orb 4 and its atomizers legitimately appear to contain weaponry. And alas, it packs heat.
Finally, there's the mouthpiece, a vape part that plays a crucial role in draw density and even flavor. The Source Orb 4 mouthpiece looks like the miniature figurine of a sophisticated spaceship from a Sci-Fi film. Its surface is made of a smooth and reflective metal, so it looks great and it feels good when you handle it.
The mouthpiece features a twistable section (the variable airflow adjuster). You can twist it to your liking until the draws are as dense or light as you prefer.
The best part about the mouthpiece is the magnetic lock lid. The top section of the mouthpiece pops off like nothing, revealing the heating chamber where the atomizer screws in, and re-connects just as easily.
One Last Thing
These are the three main reasons I love the Source Orb 4 Signature Kit. Of course, if you don’t care about insane control over temperatures or owning a litany of atomizers, there’s the Premium Kit with two fewer atomizers, or you can purchase the Source Orb 4 mouthpiece separately and use it with your mod battery. If you’re going for gold in your wax vaporization--meaning you want access to a versatile vaping experience--I’d put my money on the Source Orb 4 Signature Kit.

His blogs are visited by an average of 60,000 readers each month. His goal? To help build awareness about the true benefits and downsides of vaping.
As a vaporizer critic for the past two years, Thomas does not recommend that people take up vaping if they don't already smoke. He also does not claim that vaping is healthier than smoking. He does, however, provide information on how to choose and use vaporizers for those who already practice smoking or vaping.
Thomas bought his first vaporizer after looking for an alternative to smoking, a practice which he found to be odorous and wasteful.
