The PAX Concentrate Insert enables you to switch from dry herb to wax. Simply remove the oven lid, replace it with the wax insert, and choose the ideal temperature for oils (420F or higher).

Precision-crafted by the OEM for efficiency and ease-of-use, this advanced extracts insert creates smooth, flavor-rich clouds out of only a pea-sized drop of wax. Load your concentrates in seconds and enjoy potent hits on-the-go!

This 100% authentic wax insert features a convenient magnetic lock for snap-on attachment. Loading your PAX with wax is quick and easy. Cleaning is just as painless. While most dab attachments feature threaded connections, this one requires no unscrewing, saving you time and energy. The magnets used are of high coercive force for a swift snapping connection. These two powerful neodymium magnets keep the insert firmly attached, but also easily removable.

The concentrate insert is compatible with PAX 2 and PAX 3. Both vaporizers share identical dimensions, including their ovens, making the wax insert cross-compatible. Instructions for using the insert are also the same across both devices.

To use PAX 3 with extracts, remove the chamber lid of the concentrate insert, which is connected via rubber o-ring, to reveal the heating chamber. Drop a small bit of wax or oil in the center of the chamber and replace the lid. Load the insert into the heating chamber of the vaporizer where it fits snugly, though not completely flush with the bottom of the device.

After loading the PAX 3 concentrate insert into the oven, choose your temperature and wait for the device to heat up. You’ll want to give the wax concentrate 20 to 30 seconds to melt in the chamber. That way the concentrates gather around the intake pipes at the bottom of the wax insert so the airpath passes over them as you inhale.

Designed in San Francisco, this cutting edge wax insert boasts excellent build quality, high grade materials, and an innovative design geared toward convenience.

Cleaning the insert is important for maintaining the best performance possible. Residual gunk can clog airflow and produce foul odors. Luckily this part is easy to clean, offering a variety of methods for keeping your vapor quality top-notch.

The first method for cleaning the PAX concentrate insert involves scrubbing it with the included pipe cleaner and a drop of isopropyl alcohol. The wax chamber slides off the base piece so you can better handle it while scrubbing. You can also remove the mouthpiece and floss out the vapor path using the pipe cleaner. For deeper cleaning, soak the concentrate insert in isopropyl for fifteen minutes then brush out the chamber.

The next method involves running a burn-off after each session to clear the insert of residual wax concentrate. Simply choose the highest temperature setting (420F) and let it run for a few minutes. Using the mobile app, you can set the temperature even higher for an efficient burn-off.

Using PAX with oil is incredibly easy, but we offer a number of tips for getting the most out of your PAX concentrate insert. These will improve the efficiency of the wax insert, delivering better flavor, aroma, and effects as well as smoother vapor.

When vaping with the wax insert, we recommend choosing the highest heat. Wax concentrates demand more heat in order to vaporize. The mobile app enables you to choose an even higher temperature than the highest preset, perfect for vaping wax. A few degrees above the highest preset temperature is optimal. The PAX 3 features upgraded insulation, preventing the device from becoming hot at higher temperatures. Note that the PAX 2 does not allow you to customize heat settings using the mobile app.

Wax might be viscous while it’s cool, but when heated it becomes runny. To ensure the best vaporization, you’ll want to keep the PAX concentrate insert upright during heating. This way the wax stays at the bottom of the dab insert, pooling around the intake holes. As you take a hit, air will pass over the concentrates for a more potent rip.

Regularly cleaning the wax insert after each session will prevent the build-up of gunk. The more often you clean the insert, the easier each cleaning session will be, and the more you’ll enjoy using PAX with concentrates. With frequent cleaning, you’ll notice more flavor, aroma, and potency. The wax insert will also last longer, saving you money on replacements.

We recommend loading the oil insert lightly. A pea-sized drop of wax concentrate will do. A smaller amount of concentrate will promote better airflow and leave more space for proper vapor production. This means you’ll have to load the oven more frequently, but the vapor quality will be higher. Loading the PAX concentrate insert lightly will also make the chamber easier to clean, which is essential to its performance level.

Q: I'm thinking of ordering the Pax 3 vaporizer and maybe the concentrate insert. When you say it (the insert) is for wax, do you mean hash and/or shatter?

Asked By Leah Walker on March 03, 2019

A: Leah, Yes the PAX Concentrate Insert can handle both of those materials, it is advised you take a "less is more" approach when loading it, as proper airflow is crucial to getting a good draw. -VaporNation

Q: Can you use this with the Pax 2?

Asked By Christine Kopec on January 06, 2019

A: Christine, The PAX Concentrate Insert will fit in the Pax 2. It should be noted that the Pax 2 only goes as high as 400°F compared to the Pax 3 which gets to around 435°F in order to efficiently vape concentrates. -VaporNation
