This thing it awesome!
Bought my Ascent after using the original DaVinci for about a year and a half. I love the original DaVinci but this thing just blows it out of the water! The all glass vapor path is awesome and it's easy to notice the increase in vapor quality. No metal, plastic or rubber taste in the back of your throat like some of the other portable vapes. It's easy to bring from place to place because it's smaller than the average smartphone. It heats up pretty quick, too. Which is convenient for something used on-the-go. The only thing I didn't like was the overall weight of the unit. It's a little heavy for being so portable, but I can't complain too much because that usually means the unit is solid and sturdy. It's a little pricey, but not bad in comparison to other portable vapes that perform on a similar level. Overall, a great vape and I highly recommend it to others!Comment

Great performance - even better factory support
I bought five vaporizers at the same time:Comment
V2 Pro (Series 3)
Vaporize Platinum 3-in-1 combo
I tested all the units w/ dried herbs and the best performers were (in order of performance/preference):
These three units where not only easy to use by provided the best experience (both vapor and taste).
But these units were not without their issues:
- The Ascent came with a faulty battery that would not take a charge (but was replaced under warranty).
- The Pinnacle Pro after two weeks use the mouth piece broke. When I notified the manufacturers I was told I it was not under warranty and I could buy replacement parts.
- The G Pro mouth piece also broke w/in two weeks of use and when I notified the manufacturers I was told I it was not under warranty and I could buy replacement parts.
Note: I would not recommend either the V2 Platinum or the Vaporite 3-in-1 combo for dry herbs (better performance with essential oils).

Best Unit I've Owned!!
I don't want to write more than I should about this unit. I have used many units that friends had purchased from various places but this unit is TRULY impressive. It's easy as cake to use and also to clean. The price is worth every dollar you spend on this thing. I am happy with what i purchased and from this site. Only thing i can complain about which i really don't care but i have to say something negative but like it matters right? Obviously it"s a bit heavy, but its light as your cell phone so call it heavy but its an awesome machine the less. Go grab one you won't regret it.Comment

My favorite toy
I ordered it at the beginning of the week, I paid for 3 day shipping, and I received it on time. Everything was in perfect condition, and as advertised. The free gifts were nice, I would recommend getting the case, it's a great quality case and well worth fore-going the free 2-day shipping. The vacuum seal bud jar was nice, but the seal gets slightly worse the more it's used. The grinder card is good quality and I like the design. However the free cleaner that comes extra, just doesn't work. I used it exactly as the instructions directed, and even left the glass stems sit for about an hour (far longer than recommended) and it didn't clean it what so ever. Only a couple downsides to this vape. The biggest being is that it comes with only a wall charger, which is not usb, so if you want to take it with you anywhere, like say a camping trip, you'll need to purchase a car charger separately. The vapor quality is pretty good, but a tiny bit harsh at higher heats. Also, if you want your smoke to be visible, you'll need to turn up the heat to around 400 degrees F. The design is very pleasing aesthetically, and it feels very natural in the hand. The temperature settings are nice, but they come with little to no instructions for the many different features, so it's up to you to really figure out yourself. It doesn't stand up, so you should load your bowl before leaving the house if you plan on going anywhere. If you use concentrates, make sure to take the lid off the jar, or you won't get any vapor.Hower the bowl is placed also makes it somewhat challenging to use concentrates, because if you tilt it even slightly, chances are you'll spill some in the bowl making it a pain to get the jar back out. It also doesn't allow for smoking keif, unless you put it in the concentrate jar, but then you get very little vapor. It also has a tendency to let smoke out of the bottom, so be careful to not breath into the mouth piece when going to take a hit. All-in-all, a GREAT product, with very few real downsides, that I have already recommended to several friends!Comment

I purchased two different portables before purchasing this ascent and this ascent is truly a step up from anything I have tried. It takes some practice getting the temperature where you want it and learning to get the most out of your product. You can get heavy vapor hits or light hits and the taste is excellent.Comment

This is the 3rd vaporizer I've owned. I also have a Pax and a larger unit. The Ascent compares favorably to my other vaporizers. It is much heavier and slightly larger than the Pax, but it heats up very quickly to the preselected temperature. It's very easy to clean. It does not produce noticeable vapor like my other vaporizers, which was a bit disconcerting at first, and it seems to take longer to reach your goal with it, but it eventually does the job and does it well. The battery seems to hold power for quite a while, much longer than the Pax. The biggest downside to it is that the small holes in the glass stem through which the vapor passes from the product to your mouth are very small and quickly become semi-clogged with product, thus reducing the air flow. Overall, though, I'm quite pleased with the Ascent.Comment

Best Portable Vape I've had
I've had the VaporX XRT classic, Vaporblunt, Vapirair nos2, Pax and Volcano. This is definitely the best portable vaporizer I've ever used. It's on par with the volcano for quality. This thing has nice extra options like session length and temp so you don't have to pay attention to what you want it heating to while you're gaping. Honestly i'll never use that option in the foreseeable future. This does work and works very well though. Heat up time is about 45 seconds and its ready to go. The indicator on the from its very nice. The bottom part with the heating chamber does get relatively hot, however not to the point we're you are uncomfortable holding it. I use the included screens, one at the bottom before i load my chamber and one above the blend after. The all glass pathway, they're not kidding when they say it gives you the best taste. I've never really enjoyed vaporizing as much as i have lately with this. Best to give the glass mouth pieces a wipe down after ever use or two. I found this works best if you take very slow gentle inhales on this. Like most reviews will say, it seems to work best when you pack the chamber a good amount.Comment
The oil jars just slide right into the heating chamber very easily. I've found you should not even fill the jars halfway though. The lids pop off while in use and if over halfway you're gonna get whatever liquid you're using everywhere. My first attempted some started dripping out the bottom because it had gotten out of the jar and down the bottom of the heating chamber through the vents at the bottom. I use tinctures in these and they work amazing with this. It would be beneficial for this to be able to stand upright on it's own. As I said before the oil jar lids pop off when in use. If you put it sideways the oils will just spill right out. Also when heating up, if left flat on a table the vapor starts coming out the bottom. I just stand it upright against something while it's cooling. Then open it and pop the oil jar lids back on and use the stir tool to take out the jars.
Price point is a bit high, however once in use it really does seem worth it, I don't have any regrets about getting this.

I have a few different vaporizers and debated as to whether or I should buy this one. After thinking about for a few days, I decided to go for it. I picked up the stealth black version. It works very good. Good temp control, a deep oven, glass tubes for a clean taste. I get good clouds, and get a better buzz than with my other vaporizers. It's about the size of a smartphone, and actually looks like one. Amazon carried a case for this that you can hook on your belt just like a smart phone. I don't take it out with me, as it's a bit bigger than I had hoped. If I go out and want to take one with me, I have a smaller vaporizer that is a lot more discreet than this one is. Because of the glass tubes, this Ascent is very easy to clean. Take them out, swab them clean, rinse and your done, The oven is easy as well, use the brush that is provided, then use a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol, and you done. Although, wait until it cools down before cleaning. Like I said, I debated about this purchase, and I'm glad I made this purchase. So if you're doing the same, spring for it, it's well worth the money.Comment

The Ascent to Heaven!
I purchased the Ascent by Da Vinci after reading many reviews, watching a few videos, and comparing just about every model out there. I really am glad I did decide to go with it. Once you figure out how to pack the oven (I ordered some glass spacers that really work well to enhance the vaporizing - should really be included) and find the temp or temps that work best for you, the Ascent works beautifully.Comment
Obviously, with thin glass involved, it's not a care-free device like the Pax (I have one of those as well) so don't drop it and be gentle when cleaning it. It really is a beautiful device aesthetically and has a solid feel and weight to it. Perhaps next time I'll see about a custom one.
One negative that I found is it didn't seem to work great with wax. I tried using the "oil can" with and without a lid and using different amounts of wax (not different types, however) but quite dissatisfied with the results. Perhaps others have had better results.
Overall, I feel it's a great portable vaporizer for dry herbs. Enjoy!

The Ascent is my first vaporizer and I am very happy with the purchase. The unit is sleek and discreet, and feels very well built. The all glass vapor path is a plus. There is not a complete seal on it, so you do draw a little air, but I was expecting that in a portable unit, and its not that big of a deal for the quality of this device. The unit heats up to the desired temp in about 60 seconds, and is ready to go. If you are using it for a decent amount of time, the unit does get rather hot and I found myself charging it every day, again, to be expected with a portable. Also, cleaning it is very easy I found, but needs to be done often. So far for me every 2-3 days. I would recommend this device for anyone looking for a portable vaporizer. Well worth the price.Comment
