Good vapor, very poor battery quality

This does produce vapor and has several heat settings so you can find the one that works with your herb (and it varies) but the chamber is way too small for even one person (leaving me feeling not right all the time) and the batteries are apparently ALL faulty. The one I ordered from Vapor Nation would only hold a charge for about 15 minutes so I reported the problem. Vapor Nation notified the manufacturer who contacted me in a few days and sent me a new one right away, which impressed me. Unfortunately, the new one has the same battery issue (neither will go more than 15 minutes) plus the switch is flaky so that you have to click and click and click until it detects 5 consecutive clicks before it will turn on but changing heat setting is not affected for some reason. Having two makes for a better experience because you can be cleaning one mouthpiece while using the other and you can have one constantly charging (you will be cleaning and charging ALL the time). At this point, I wish I could return them both and add a few bucks to get a better one.

    Pulsar APX Vaporizer

First dry flower vaporizer-- so pleased with it, I bought a second. I use day and night blends (former needing focus and pain relief, latter pain relief and sleep). These APX are just exactly what I was looking for. Now my lungs are cleaned up again and I can still get my medicine. Only caution to other newbies-- it's easy to get higher than you might want so, sip and wait before sipping again. I'm not working them hard and with the quality they seem to have in fit and construction, they should last a while. Thanks for a great product at a great price.

    Pulsar for the win!

After a year long layoff from smoking, I decided I wanted to pursue a healthier alternative when taking a trip to cloud 9 lol. The Pulsar APX is my first Vape and it has exceeded all my expectations! This unit has incredible value for its $60 price tag. I'll admit that there was a bit of a learning curve when I first began using it (I had never used a vape prior to this). I was having a hard time taking nice, solid hits. I was inhaling forcefully at first and that's not the best way to go about it because doing so results in intense suction that can pull the herb towards the screen and clogs it up. The key is to inhale slowly for about 4-6 seconds. Vapor production is pretty nice on this lil unit. At the two lowest temperature settings, vapor is not quite visible. At 392F you start getting some nice vapor clouds. The more you increase the temp, the bigger the vapor clouds will be. I've been impressed by the amazing flavors you get from vaping. At the lower temperatures, you get super flavorful hits. The flavor takes a slight hit as you increase the temp but you still get nice flavor even at the highest temp compared to smoking. Definitely experiment with the temps! Lower temps will give you a mellow high. Higher temps will provide a much more intense high. I prefer to start at 392F with each bowl; I take about 5 hits and then increase to 410 and I'll eventually finish off with 428F to make sure I use up all the herb. When you're no longer getting much vapor at 428F, you'll know it's done. You'll also notice a burnt popcorn type of smell and flavor when the herb is nearly all used up. I've found that I get the best hits with a moderately packed bowl (about half of the chamber, maybe even a lil over the half way point). Push the herb down slightly with the tweezers so that its packed slightly tight, but not too tight. I usually get 15-20 hits with that amount of herb, which is incredible. With that same amount of herb, I'd probably get 5 hits or so from smoking it. Battery life is okay. I wish it was better but it's not terrible either. Depending on the temps you're using, you can expect a full charge to last roughly 10-15 cycles (5 minute cycles - unit turns off after 5 minutes of use) which is more than enough to get pretty high several times. The screens get clogged up pretty quickly, so change them every 5-10 cycles or so to get the best hits possible. That's where the extra screens come in handy. Cleaning is fairly easy. I just rub the screens with my fingers in a cup of water and the sticky residue comes off fast. The smell produced by vapor is much less noticeable than smoking but it can still smell a bit depending on the strain of herb. Herb with a pungent, skunky, diesel type smell can still be somewhat noticed by someone if you're vaping indoors. It doesn't linger for too long though and a little febreze overpowers the subtle smell that's created. Strains that smell sweet/citrusy/piney will hardly be noticed by someone. So this is definitely a discreet way to medicate without bothering others. Pulsar APX for the win!

It all begins here - exceptional value & quality.

If you are looking for a portable (quality) vaporizer, a person new to the practice will be satisfied first with the value and second the performance of such an affordable unit. Rest assured that the price shouldn't be a deterrent as the Pulsar APX performs as well as top shelf pieces that require a heavy hit on the pocket book. I value quality and satisfaction as my top priorities relating to purchases. I am confident that anyone obtaining the Pulsar APX will experience those priorities as well.

Great Little Power Vape for an Awesome Price

This is a great traveling vape. Powers up quickly, compact size, easy to hide, adjustable temps, easy to clean, produces allot of vape - perfect to use in your car with the sunroof open before going to the movies. I have the Cloud V Terra and that is very smooth, this little powerful vape gets the job done quickly - its not as smooth but is well worth the $60 bucks. Big fan and they have great designs too.

    Solid Budget Vaporizer

Great little vaporizer. Great for an individual to use , just don't expect to pass it around. The battery last around an hour and a half. Gets you good in only 1 packing. Gets pretty hot after a few pulls. it will shut itself off after a bit to avoid overheating. I had another similar portable a while ago, which barely heated, but this APX does the trick. Still works after 2 months. the filters got dirty very quickly.

    Lip burner

This seems like a decent unit for the price, except that I can't use it for more than 2 - 3 draws because the mouthpiece gets very hot and nearly burns the lips, even when following the instructions and waiting more than 5 sec between draws. That makes it pretty much useless. The unit is designed with a fairly thin plastic mouthpiece over the steel top of the heating chamber. As a result the heat from the steel conducts into the plastic and, bingo, burnt lips. Some home-modification would probably solve the problem (such as adding a piece of tubing to the mouthpiece), but really it should be useable without the consumer having to make modifications first. Also, it does not draw easily, even with ground herb very loosely packed.

Not the best but not the worst

Good vape with some problems-- Hard to clean screens--short battery life--unit gets hot. I does work and even with its faults it is an okay vape. If you are using it a lot, you might want to buy something with longer battery life and easier to clean screens.

    Great taste! Buzzing

This is the best vaporizer in its price range by far. It's compact, inconspicuous (it looks like a lot of e-cigarettes), you can put anything in it (which is great, especially if you like to switch it up), it's cute, its charge time is great and is pretty awesome for one person use, EVERYTHING you put in it tastes amazing... waaaaayy better than it tastes out of anything else I've tried and feels extra clean. The tools that come with it are super handy too. It gets a little warm if you're trying to share with friends and makes an incredibly lite buzzing noise (most people have to put it right up to their ear to hear it), so if you have frontal lobe epilepsy triggered by pitched noises like me, I would suggest finding something different if it makes you uncomfortable while you're waiting for your medicine to kick in. That's all I have to complain about! It's awesome! Most of my friends are ordering one because of how much they like it!

    Great product

This was my first vaporizer and I am really pleased with it. Great value with a comfortable feel. You do need to keep it charged regularly and it can become a bit warm with repeated usage but neither of these are real problems. This is a perfect gift for yourself or a friend!
