The SideKick is the first ever portable vaporizer offering from Colorado-based manufacturer 7th Floor. Featuring trademark 7th Floor styling and quality, the SideKick vaporizer comes equipped with a hand-blown glass mouthpiece for the ultimate in vapor taste and flavor. Employing 21 points of digital temperature control (248°- 470°F), the SideKick is the only portable vaporizer to utilize a unique stirring mechanism, which allows you to constantly stir your herbs while vaping to ensure the most even and efficient heating possible. A vortex style vapor path effectively extends the distance vapor travels from 11” to 18”, which allows for enhanced cooling time. A fully ceramic heating chamber and ceramic encased heating element eliminates oxidation and produces ultra-pure vapor each and every draw.

SideKick Vaporizer Colors

7th Floor has always been on the forefront of vaporization innovation. Creators of the popular Silver Surfer, Life Saber, and Da Buddha desktop vaporizers, 7th Floor is known for their commitment to top-notch quality and performance. So when it came time to design their first even portable device, 7th Floor pulled out all the stops and crafted a handheld unit unlike any other to come before it. Designed by vape enthusiasts for vape enthusiasts, the SideKick vaporizer is equipped with some of the most advanced features of any portable vaporizer on the market today.

The SideKick vaporizer is equipped with a first-of-its-kind stirring mechanism that allows you to stir your dry herbs throughout your vaporization session without having to remove the lid. This awesome ability ensures your herbs heat as evenly and efficiently as possible, so no part of the bowl cooks hotter than another during the hybrid conduction/convection heating process. Utilizing a high-quality stainless steel screen and inner plate, the SideKick’s stirring mechanism is durable and effective. Designed and placed for effortless use, the stirring mechanism works with a simple push of the thumb. Just spin the gear backward or forward in between draws to keep the herbs moving for even heating.

In order to achieve the highest level of vapor quality possibly, the engineers at 7th Floor developed a state-of-the-art vortex vapor path insert, which extends the distance vapor travels from the heating element to the mouthpiece from 7” to 18”. Extended travel time allows the vapor to cool down before being drawn, eliminating harsh heat that can sometimes be a problem with lesser-quality portable vaporizers. For ultra-cooled vapor, the vortex insert can be chilled in the freezer for vapor as cool and crisp as a Rocky Mountain breeze! The vortex insert can also be removed for more free-flowing vapor.

7th Floor is renowned for their hand-blown artisan glass accessories, so it should come as no surprise that their new SideKick vaporizer is equipped with a high-quality, handcrafted glass mouthpiece. When it comes to vaporizing, glass is the most pure and inert material possible. A glass mouthpiece allows the true taste and flavor of your herbs to shine through without being compromised by commonly used materials like silicone, stainless steel or plastic. The SideKick’s glass mouthpiece is housed inside the unit itself, and slides out easily – especially when utilizing the included coconut oil balm for lubrication. Removable, replaceable and customizable, the SideKick’s glass mouthpiece can be replaced with a wide variety of bubbler attachments for added water filtration benefits.

SideKick Vaporizer Mouthpiece

Adjustable in increments of .5 from 1 to 11 (thank you Spinal Tap), the SideKick’s optimized preset temperature settings let you choose your preferred heat level, from as low as 100°F to as high as 455°F. Equipped with 21 points of temperature control, the SideKick vaporizer allows you to experiment with a wide range of settings, allowing for a high level of personalization. Since all dry herbs are different and have varying moisture levels, having the ability to select from such a wide range of heat settings is crucial. A clear view LCD screen displays info such as set temperature, run temperature, battery level, as well as voltage and vape time.

Unlike many other portable vaporizers which utilize an embedded battery power source, the SideKick vaporizer is powered by dual removable 18350 lithium-ion batteries, eliminating the risk of encountering potential battery-related issues down the road. Two sets of batteries are included with the SideKick, so you can keep a backup pair fully charged and ready to go. Each set will last for around twenty-five minutes of continuous vaping (or about 7-9 individual sessions), allowing you to vape continuously for close to an hour when using both sets of batteries.

A leader in innovation, 7th Floor was the first vaporizer manufacturer to incorporate a ceramic heating element in a desktop unit. Keeping in line with said ingenuity, the SideKick portable vaporizer employs a fully ceramic-encased heating element which eliminates the risk of oxidation. Additionally, a full ceramic heating chamber is designed with air intake holes in its base, and is sealed with a custom formed stainless steel screen which seals in the herbs. Equipped to accommodate approximately ¼ gram of finely ground dry herbs, the SideKick also includes a stainless steel concentrate can that turns the SideKick into a powerful handheld device for dabs and other wax extracts.

Compartmentalized for easy cleaning, the SideKick vaporizer breaks down into multiple pieces to make clean-up quick and painless. The SideKick’s glass mouthpiece, vortex cooling insert, vapor tubes, top and bottom lids, pathway seal and screens can all be removed, giving you easy access to the main air path for easy cleaning. Equipped with a built-in cleaning port located under the air intake allows you to easily clean small particles that could build-up underneath the heating chamber over time. Cleaning tools and alcohol pads are included with the SideKick.

With a look unequivocally its own and optional custom glass attachments, the SideKick vaporizer embodies that fun personalized feeling you get from a glass piece, but in a portable vaporizer. Multiple color selections combined with endless customized glass options give allows you to finely tailor the aesthetics of your SideKick, giving you a one of a kind vaporizer to match your one of a kind personality. Say goodbye to cookie-cutter portables, and say hello to the SideKick vaporizer.

    Great working vape

I need another portable vape, like I need a hole in my head.
The sidekick makes 8 now. Vapornation made me an offer I couldn't turn down.
But I'm glad I did. This thing is great, smooth easy draw, nice clouds.
I'm an older man 66 and I have asthma. So a harsh vape can set me off coughing.
No problem with the sidekick. It's my new favorite.

This vape is da bomb! Had a DaVinci and a Crafty and the Sidekick out performs them both. Never having to end a session because your battery just died is great. Nice cool vapors and easy to clean. Very well thought out machine!

    Ooh, I love My 'Kick

While researching for my very first vape, I went nuts. So many to choose from, so many features. I couldn't take anymore so I bought a bubbler and, sadly, entered the land of throat scorch. I resumed my vape hunt. What caught my eye about the SideKick was the number of features. Like a Swiss army knife. After it arrived I took my time familiarizing myself with the SK, and several days later the process sunk in. What a pleasure to vape cool, not burn. I love to put the Vortex Rod in the freezer and slide it into position for extra cool, even though the SK draws cool without it. You know, the ritual.
Tips: The ribbed dial that turns the stirring rod has a white indicator dot. It's there, but is too small. I put a wee bit of colored nail polish to make it stand out. There's some wiggle in that dial, so be aware that when lifting or replacing the top lid that you find the optimum position for the dotted rib, whether a tiny bit to the left, right or middle. When taking the top lid off or on, I place my thumb on the dial to keep it in place. If it's a hair off, you may hove to fuss just a bit. Once aligned, the top goes on/off very easily. The bottom cover has a durable open/close switch. If you have a strong thumb nail you can slide it open smoothly. If not, consider using the hard end of one of the brushes that come in the kit. The batteries have some spring action that makes them pop out. I hold the SK somewhat upside down to avoid having them fall on the desktop. As with another reviewer, I had some battery problems. Wouldn't hold a charge. The knowledgeable customer service guy at 7th Floor helped A LOT and sent replacements. I'd buy another Side Kick right now if I could get the New Year Sale price. Oh yeah, you get a great travel case, too along with all the little accessories. Perfect! Thanks to VN for overnight delivery. Have fun, one and all.

    Excellent Portable

Very pleasantly surprised by the quality and features of this portable vape!

    A) The zip-up carry/accessory bag that it came in is a VERY nice touch. Not only did it come in this bag, the bag itself is full of useful items: mini tongs, mini screw driver, glass head topped long needle, a couple of different brushes, "honey bucket" of coconut oil for lubricating the mouth piece, two sets of batteries with caps and labels (so you don't confuse different sets of batteries, a battery charger, etc.

    B) The unique vortex cooling device. This device, which is part of, and extends, the vapor path is just plain ingenious. By forcing the vapor to have to move in a spiral, 7th Floor has effectively doubled the vapor path for this portion of it without increasing the length, and thus overall size, of the unit. Ultimately, this provides VERY cool vape due to the ~ 16 18 inch vapor path!

    C) The glass mouthpiece retracts into and extends from the unit in order to both increase or decrease the vapor path, and to allow for safer storage and transport.

    D) It has a built-in stirring device. The device is built into the lid, and keeps your smoke mixed for more even vape. This is a very nice feature which works exactly as stated. Be aware, even though this screen/stirrer is supposed to be removable (thus the mini screw driver), 7th Floor admits they secure them very well before shipping the units out. So well, in fact, that I could not get mine off. HOWEVER, this does not really matter, as there is really no reason to remove it. It is very easy to clean top and bottom without needing to remove it. They also have available a new "oil can" which they will send you for the cost of shipping ($5, or so), which does not require the screen/stirrer to be removed in order to use. This is for concentrates. I found this to work poorly, but hey we all know if you want to use concentrates dabbling is the way to go. In my opinion all portable vaporizers are made for dry material.

    E) The Sidekick is very easy to take apart and clean, with a straight forward simple process.

    F) with 21 heat settings you'll find your own sweet spot.

    G) The only real drawback--if you even consider it one--is the short life-per-charge of the battries (~ 15-20 min.) However, they give you two sets, they charge very quickly, and they are cheap to buy more.

    H) the availability of a bubbler glass mouthpiece. Looking forward to trying this!

All-in-all, an excellent vaporizer that I would not hesitate to recommend!

Good vape but has design flaws

The performance of this vaporizer is decent. Good draws. There are some pretty major flaws with this product though. The first one I got, the battery door catch broke in less than 5 months. Called the company and unfortunately could not get it replaced under warranty, since you have to register your vape within 30 days to qualify for the full warranty. I totally missed that small card in the packaging that tells you that. Okay, my fault, but still a very shady practice in my opinion. So I agreed to pay around $50 to have mine repaired. Sent it in and they replaced it with a re-manufactured unit. That one broke within 3 months. It would power off by itself and then just refused to turn on. Called again, this time they had a replacement program that for $50 they would send out a new core unit. Received the 3rd unit, and once again within less than 3 months, the catch on the battery door broke once more even though I tried their suggestion of always taking the batteries out after a session in order to relieve the constant pressure on the catch. The batteries seem to have a spring behind them to ensure a connection with the terminals. After the third one broke I just gave up and purchased a Pax3 instead.

Bottom line, don't forget to register your sidekick within the 30 day window or you will just be out of pocket when it breaks.

Pretty awesome design But it can get way better.

At first I got impressed of the details, functions and ease of use. But After several Trials found out that for concentrates like wax the system wont cut it it overspills with less of a bb size, the little metal casing with the plastic cap wont seal and the venting of it sucks, Half of the oil or waxes spill from the uneven spaces of the metal and plastic sending all the sticky residues all over the ceramic chamber itself. Wont like to look inside the SideKick to clean it. The master piece is the Rotating Arm for the herbs so it can be vape equally without over burning the money. Overall I will give it a 5 out of 10. Just because it didnt outperformed as planned. The little details made SideKick reach a 5 out of 10. For the next if theres a next 1 I will go for the performance rather than to the details.

for the most part it is good

I like the Sidekick but mine arrived with one of the sets of batteries not working. Contacted VN and they referred me to 7th floor. They were helpful but it is still a hassel. What I'm not fond of is the life of the batteries. Needs improvement!
